Avon Review: Anew Vitale Skin Care


I recently began using the Anew Vitale Skin Care – a fairly new skin care line from Avon. The line includes a day cream, night cream, gel cleanser, day lotion and eye gel cream. I am currently using the day and night cream along with the gel cleanser to wash my face. I will have to say it has drastically changed the condition of my face. No more problems with breakouts and my skin is incredibly soft. Also, the day cream is a great base to use under my foundation.

Makeup Review: Avon Totally Kissable Lipstick

As an Avon Representative, I take the time every other week to order something new to try. How else are you supposed to accurately sell a product if you don’t know, first-hand, its quality? Besides, it’s a good excuse for me to buy something for myself! I was hesitant to try the new Totally Kissable lipstick introduced by Avon a few months ago. I recommending it to many people and everyone seemed to love it. However, I have never been a “lipstick girl”. Yes, when I was little, I would break into my mother’s makeup bag and try some on but for me, lipstick has never been a favorite of mine. In fact, the only time I have worn lipstick on purpose was for my high school proms and my wedding.

But, nevertheless, I am an Avon Representative. I must represent my company and the product I am offering. So, I picked a suitable color and submitted my order. When it came in, I immediately tried it on and….I LOVED IT! It was so smooth, so silky and didn’t have that “lipstick” smell. You know the one…like you’re rubbing melted crayon on your lips! And when I looked in the mirror, I was shocked at how it changed my appearance. Now, my mother has always told me, “Put some lipstick on! Your face looks pale!”. Little did I know, she was RIGHT! Finally, my face looked complete. 

I have never been happier with an Avon product. Yes, my makeup bag is filled with all sorts of Avon products and gadgets but I will have to say…I actually enjoy putting on my lipstick now. No matter where I am, I always try to find an excuse to put it on. It makes me feel beautiful! And to a woman, there is nothing more important than feeling beautiful. It changes your entire demeanor. So, for my official makeup review, I will have to give this product an A++!

In Avon leadership training, they always tell you –

“Don’t ask ‘Do you want to sell Avon?’. It’s like asking ‘Do you want chickenpox?’.”

I had been selling Avon for 2 years when I was thrust into the world of Avon Sales Leadership. Like most things I end up doing, if I had known what I was getting myself into, I never would have started. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad I’m doing it now but it was a whirlwind of a start.

It all started when a friend of mine started asking questions about how Avon works. I casual answered his questions, not paying it much attention. People ask about it all time – just casual conversation. But the more questions he asked, the more excited he became. The next week, he signed up to sell Avon under me. I didn’t know how exactly that worked other than I made money when he made money. When my Avon leader called (who I hadn’t spoken to in at least a year), she asked “so, you want to begin in sales leadership?”

– Wait, what? Sales leadership? That is not what I signed up for? That sounds complicated and like too much work.

She signed him up for me and before I knew it, the district manager was calling to congratulate me on my first recruit. She explained that I needed 5 recruits under my leadership for me to get the title of Unit Leader and begin making money off my “team”.

– Again, team? Sounds too hard!

She also explained that if I could get 2 more recruits in the next few weeks, I could get a $175 bonus. Even more, if I could get 5 total recruits in 5 consecutive campaigns (10 weeks), I could get a $725 bonus. Now that’s what I’m talking about! Suddenly, this was all starting to sound worth it. So, I thought ‘ok, I’ll get these people signed up, get my money and be done with it.’ But that all changed when I met my district manager.

Within 3 weeks, I had signed up 5 people, been to the mall to set up a booth and attended a leadership training class. I just received my $725 bonus in the mail and I plan to continue growing my business and my team in the weeks to come. I have been so motivated to succeed in this great company and I look forward to all it has in store for me.
